WHAT CAN BE SAID ABOUT FREDDY KRUEGER THAT HAS NOT BEEN SAID ALREADY?
Freddy Kruger was created by Wes Craven who directed the original Nightmare
On Elm Street. Ever since Nightmare On Elm Street, I never again saw a
decent film that Wes had directed. I must give him credit for creating
Fred, but other than that, I don't even consider him a great director.
Why? You may ask. It's very simple, Wes created Scream, directed Scream,
and then created a sequel which is the crappiest so-called Horror film
I have ever seen. Scream did nothing good for real Horror films, except
open doors for other horrible fims such as I Know What You Did Last Summer....
which is not great.
Enough of trashing Wes, let me get to the point.....
Nightmare On Elm Street is an awesome movie especially the first one, which
is probably my favorite one. It has some of the best special effects, a
good plot and it's scary. Freddy has many interesting ways of killing,
and the death scenes are some of the best.
One of the coolest, scariest, and most memorable scenes is in NOES1 when
Freddy is stalking a girl named Tina down an alley. When Freddy catches
her, you see her being picked up in the air by an invisible force because
she is dreaming and soon Freddy starts slashing her and blood is flying
everywhere and is getting on her boyfriend as he sits and watches her die
in total disbelief. Hmmm.... I wonder who gets blamed for her death and
goes to jail? (Hint: It's not Freddy!)
